  7. Q: I prefer to participate virtually. Can I do that?
  8. A: Muscular Dystrophy Canada is only offering in-person Walk & Roll for MDC events in 2024. You can register for an in-person event on the Register page. If you are unable to attend one of our events, we can provide you with everything you need to host your own.
  9. Q: How do I register if I participated in the Walk & Roll before?
  10. A: Both past and new participants can register for Walk & Roll for MDC 2024 at our registration page. If you require assistance, our MDC team is happy to help. Call us at 1-800-567-2873 or email WalkRollMDC@muscle.ca
  11. Q: Can I support Walk & Roll for MDC without participating? How can I donate?
  12. A: Absolutely! If you are unable to participate this year, and would still like to show your support, you can make a general donation to the Walk & Roll for MDC, or contribute to a participant’s fundraising efforts – the choice is yours. To support a registered participant, please donate through their personal page by searching their name under the “Individual” button. Alternatively, you can also make a general donation. Be sure to select “Location” when making a general donation.
  13. Q: How can I fundraise and connect with others while still being safe and apply physical distancing?
  14. A: Thank you for being safe and respectful. We all have a responsibility to keep each other safe, especially when coming together in person. This includes maintaining physical distancing, practicing good hand hygiene, wearing a mask if required or if you feel it is right for you, staying home when you are sick, staying up to date on your vaccinations and by following government health restrictions in your community. Together, we can protect ourselves and those around us.
  15. Q: Is there a cost to participate in the Walk & Roll for MDC?
  16. A: No. There is no registration fee to participate. However, due to the rising costs of hosting in-person events, all Walk & Roll participants are asked to raise or self-pledge a minimum of $20. This amount can be paid via cash, debit or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or AMEX).
  17. Q: I have a great idea for Walk & Roll for MDC. How can I share my ideas?
  18. A: Thank you so much for wanting to get involved and share your ideas with us. Please send an email to WalkRollMDC@muscle.ca. We would love to hear your suggestions on how we can make this event better.
  19. Q: My friends and family gave me cash. What do I do with it?
  20. A: If you receive cash donations, we recommend that you take all information from the donor and enter it on the donation page at WalkRollMDC.ca as a gift from that donor, using your own credit card or PayPal account. That way, they will get a tax receipt and their donation will be processed automatically. If you have cheques made out to Muscular Dystrophy Canada, list all the cheques plus donor information on a pledge sheet, which can be found in your Participant Centre once you are registered, then send all cheques and pledge sheet to:

  21. Q: Can I volunteer at a local Walk & Roll for MDC event?
  22. A: Yes. MDC is always looking for dedicated volunteers to help out with Walk & Roll events. For more information on volunteer positions at this year's events, visit our Volunteer page.
